About the organization: 

Caesar Families Association e.V is a non-profit organization dedicated to demanding truth, justice and reparations for victims of torture and enforced disappearance in Syria and supporting the families of victims who were tortured and imprisoned in Syrian regime detention centers and who appeared in the Caesar photographs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver interactive lessons focused primarily on speaking and listening skills, utilizing communicative activities and group-based learning games.
  • Design lessons that follow a non-sequential approach, ensuring that students who miss sessions can still follow without relying on prior content.
  • Address the diverse educational and cultural backgrounds of students and foster an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.
  • Prepare lesson plans in advance based on clearly defined learning objectives appropriate for each level.
  • Submit a detailed monthly performance report for each class, including notes on student engagement, language progress, and educational recommendations.
  • Avoid assigning homework and instead focus on in-class activities that enhance understanding and practical language use.

Qualifications and required skills:

  • University degree or professional certification in English language teaching or a related field (TEFL or TESOL certification is preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language, preferably in an interactive or non-traditional learning environment.
  • Proficiency in communicative teaching methods and familiarity with modern pedagogical principles.
  • Strong classroom management skills, particularly in online learning settings, with the ability to handle a diverse group of learners.
  • Adequate technical skills to effectively use digital teaching platforms and remote learning tools.

Terms and regulations:

  • The applicant should have a good working laptop.
  • The applicant should have a rapid internet connection & electricity in working days.
